Description
Linked through David Thoreau's observation "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see", and employing themes of religion, consumption, neighborhood evolution, chronic health, and national security, the photographers animate the interaction of conscious perceptions, imagination, understanding, and feelings. Each seeks to build understanding, not only of what the viewer is 'seeing', but how they 'see' and 'experience' ephemeral and transient endeavours in the world - the difference between 'looking' and 'seeing'.
