We are looking for some energetic volunteers to help make the festival another great success this year. From pre-event and post-event set-up to education program development, editing miscellaneous festival documentation or undertaking awareness and outreach activities on behalf of the festival, and we will match your skills and experience with the different opportunities available. Festival X: Ottawa Photography Festival is the first ever festival of photography in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. With an already vibrant arts community, and several post secondary educational programs bringing forth new photographic talent, a festival of this visual art form is certainly long overdue. Through its programming, Festival X brings the community together for 10 rich days offering a variety of events intended to appeal to a wide demographic. Our programming is designed to further our mandate, by keeping in mind the following: raising awareness of photography and the photographic arts, offering an educational component to the local community, and including a number of networking opportunities for professionals, semi-professionals, and lovers and appreciators of photography.

Festival X is on the cusp of becoming a major arts institution in Ottawa. After three years of operations, Festival X is now a biennial format, which will allow organizers to significantly increase the quality of the festival's already engaging programming.
