Ottawa Photography Festival will be a 10-day photographic art festival occurring in many locations across the Outaouais region from September 20th 2007 to September 30th 2007. It will consist of multiple exhibitions of photographic art shown simultaneously in private, public and artist-run gallery spaces.

Programming will include but not be limited to: lectures, artist’s talks, workshops, portfolio reviews and parties. Exhibition locations and event details will be publicized through both print and the electronic medium.

The theme of the inaugural festival is to be all encompassing and inclusive, reflecting and representing the many forms that photography can take as a visual medium. From traditional black and white prints to conceptual installation art, from chemical to digital image making, from fine art to commercial practices, from student work to established artists, the first annual will showcase the talents of the many photographers working and exhibiting within the nationʼs capital region and beyond.
